NORAYR SISAKYAN (1907-1966) |
Norayr Sisakyan was born in 1907 on the 25-th of January in Ashtarak. In 1928 he entered the State University of Yerevan. After one year he went to Moscow, continuoued the study in Moscow at the Agricultural Academy by name of Timiryazev. His educational activity he began in 1932. During that time he was engaged in the principal questions of biochemistry.
He was the founder of astrobiology and medicine in the USSR, was elected as an academician in the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and Armenian SSR and at the same time he was the member of many foreign academies and scientifically organizations. In 1964 he was elected as a genius secretary in 13-th meeting of UNESCO, the president of international astronomical Federation, bioastronomical committee.
On the moon there is a geographical territory, which is called by name of Sisakyan.
